Our goal here at Secret Ambition Stables is to produce high quality sporthorses and sportponies for competition and breeding. Through careful evaluation of both the stallion, and mare, we strive to produce animals that have great conformation, beautiful movement, and willing temperaments. We believe that in order to produce very high quality offspring, a strong mare base is the key to success.
All of our breeding mares have been carefully chosen for their bloodlines, conformation, and movement. Each and every one of our mares will be presented to several different registries for breeding approval. We then choose stallions that we feel would suit them all after many hours of research. We try to keep a few of our good fillies every now and then to create the next generation of champions and to represent our breeding program in the show ring.
Our young horses are all shown in-hand. This offers not only a chance for them to represent Secret Ambition Stables, but it is also great experiance for them. Showing them young makes the transition to showing under saddle in a few years much easier. We attend USDF Dressage Sporthorse Breeding Shows, as well as Welsh Pony shows.
When we made the large decision to purchase our first sport pony stallion, we looked for over a year and half to find what we wanted. The stallion had to be exceptional in every way. I knew that I wanted a Section A Welsh, as they are typically the best to use when breeding to normal sized horse mares, in order to still get a pony. However, I dind’t want a stallion that looked like your average pony. I wanted one that was built, and moved like a small horse. In December 2007, my search finally ended. After seeing Bur-Dal Lord Solomon’s video, I knew he was the one. He arrived in California early in 2008 and has been stealing our hearts ever since. Lord Solomon is everything and more that we hoped he would be. He is also proving to be an absolutly exceptional sire. The ability to produce quality offspring is the mark of a good stallion. He had certaintly achieved this.
Almost excactly two years after the purchase of Lord Solomon, we’ve added a new stallion. Rise’N'Shine Daydream Believr is a beautiful chestnut roan Section B Welsh stallion. He is very well bred, and we are so excited to begin his show career and present him for a few different registries in 2010.
Please don’t hesitate to contact if you have any questions regarding our horses, or if you would like to visit our farm.
Thanks!
